How to Get the EvoChrome Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
Your best bet when it comes to getting either the EvoChrome Shotgun or the EvoChrome Burst Rifle will be checking Chrome Chests. These are found in the map locations that have been fully taken over by Chrome, such as Lustrous Lagoon, Herald’s Sanctum, Shimmering Shrine, and Cloudy Condos. They look like the old, normal wooden chests but are covered in the new Chrome. You’ll know when an EvoChrome weapon drops, as it will have a unique shimmering aura coming off of it.

EvoChrome weapons always start at uncommon rarity when you first get one out of a chest. However, they can rise through every rarity. They will cycle through to rare, epic, legendary, and end on mythic. This is done by doing damage to opponents and just about anything else. All animals are free game with the EvoChrome weapons, even a chicken or frog will give progress towards the next rarity. NPCs are also a viable option for evolving the EvoChrome weapons. Inanimate objects like vehicles or player structures will not get you anything, however. You can tell how close your EvoChrome weapon it is to evolving by the bar under its name at the bottom of your screen. Once the bar is filled, you just have to reload to evolve the weapon. If you don’t have enough ammo to reload, it cannot be done until you do.
