Facebook would announce its own smart speaker during the F8 conference
Consumer electronics is currently under development at one of its biggest annual events: CES 2019 in Las Vegas in the United States. There, all the technology companies are revealing to us a plenty of products that will arrive this year to the stores and, of course, to the consumers. However, the social network giant Facebook would keep the announcement of its entry into this segment for one of its annual events: the annual F8 developer conference which is expected to be held every year at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. There, as suggested by the Cheddar portal, the social networking giant, of course, Facebook would announce its own smart loudspeaker, called Portal, which would be able to make video chats and, in addition, use facial recognition to identify users and associate them with their accounts in the social portal. However, according to the latest reports and sources the speaker would be focused on the smart home and the Internet of Things (IoT), so it would be conducive to interact with other devices through voice commands. It is important to note that this news comes a day after the closing of the M project, the personal assistant that the social network giant Facebook had presented and with which it integrated recommendations to users within the context of the chats they made in the app, of course, I am talking about the instant messaging application, Facebook Messenger. The truth is that the company, of course, the social network giant Facebook which is owned by the Mark Zuckerberg has been investing a lot of effort in the field of artificial intelligence, so -we suppose- will have prepared a new solution to apply to this new device, which has been designed by the laboratory of the social network giant Facebook Building 8.
